Event Activities |

If you are
coming to Westwood50 from elsewhere, why not plan a
little or not so little vacation in British Columbia
while you are here? There is a lot to do and see. Here
are some suggestions:
|
|
Pacific
Northwest Historic Racing Tour
If you come to the
Westwood50 event and are interested in the Historic
Motor Races that accompany it, you may well be
interested in the two other significant historic races
at nearby tracks on the two weekends prior either as a
participant or spectator. Both are well attended and
spectacular events quite easily accessible from the
Vancouver area.
Pacific Northwest Historics, Pacific Raceways, Kent,
Washington near Seattle, July 3 - 5

Portland Historics, Portland Oregon, July 10 - 12

And if you want to venture a little further south...
Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races, August 14 - 15
Mazda Raceway,
Laguna Seca, Monterey, CA

Golf
If sufficient numbers are
interested:
Nine holes of golf at The Golf Academy at Westwood
Plateau (yes that is the one) on Monday, July 20, 2009
(approximately $25 to be paid on site)
Golfer’s lunch at Hazards Restaurant at the Westwood
Plateau Golf Academy on Monday, July 20, 2009 followed
by a tour and look at the old Westwood Racing Circuit
site at the Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club
(apparently, the old finish line runs
right down the 18th fairway in front of the Country Club
Clubhouse)
